Giving to Oklahoma Tornado Victims – Offering on Sunday

We will be taking up an offering Sunday to provide assistance to those whose lives have been devastated in Moore, OK.  Our gifts will be given through the North American Mission Board of Southern Baptists Disaster Relief who had people on the ground within hours serving that city.  They are there with chain saw crews, they are serving meals, they are helping people with places to stay and providing for people’s needs.  NAMB Disaster Relief is actually the second largest disaster care organization in the country, behind the Red Cross, and as they go, they will love people in the Gospel and point people to Christ as the only hope in their disaster.  Loved the shout out from NBC national news in this video about this organization.

Those wanting to give can do so at church on Sunday, or you can send gifts directly through the link below.

I also want to reference you back to a couple blogs I have written in the past about how to choose an organization to support when you feel the call of God to give to those who have experienced a major crisis.  The first has principles for choosing that organization and the second lists organizations that we recommend in various areas of need.
