Whenever a tragic event like the Haitian earthquake takes place, it raises questions about God’s presence and his judgment. Some will run to the extreme of saying that God did not know this would happen, and that he was in no way involved in this sort of event. Others will make assertive and arrogant claims that this is the result of God’s judgment on Haiti. I’m sure by now you have heard about the regrettable remarks of Pat Robertson.
