By Faith – the Fountain of Grace Available to us When We Believe

As we preach through Hebrews 11, known as the faith chapter, we have seen that the blessings of God are available to us by faith, or our trust in Jesus as our Savior and King. In reality, all of the blessings and promises of God are only available to us by faith. In the sermon this morning I (Pastor Mike) plan on sharing 18 of those blessings of grace that the Scriptures tell us are accessed by faith alone.  I will buzz through them quickly in the sermon, but sharing them here so you can see both the blessings and the Scriptures.

We have peace with God and access into God’s grace by faith – Romans 5:1–2
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (ESV)

We are redeemed through Christ’s blood, justified and made righteous, receiving forgiveness of sins by faith. Romans 3:24-26
[24] and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, [25] whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. [26] It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (ESV)

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (ESV)

Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (ESV)
