Sunday, April 17 – Core Value of Family
As we celebrate our 10th year as a church, we would like to ask you to join us praying for the next ten years. We have prepared a 10 day prayer experience that will involve all of us in praying over our core values and vision as a church. Today we would like you to pray over our Core Value of Family.
*Family – A place where the family is important
*Scripture – Psalm 127
Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
(Psalm 127 ESV)
▸ Praise God for giving us marriage and family as one of His great gifts. Rejoice and give thanks for the ways He has allowed us to support and strengthen families during the last 10 years.
▸ Pray that God would strengthen our marriages and build healthy families, and that we would grow in our passion to raise kids who love and worship Jesus.
▸ Lift up our GenesisKids and Youth Ministries, their leaders Sarah Renken and Andy Hubbard, the myriad of volunteers that make these areas of ministry possible.
▸ Ask God to help us as a church work diligently for the next 10 years supporting the families and working to save families that are hurting.
