No doubt about it, our kids learn at church! At Genesis we are doing a series with our kids on the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
This morning we came down and started making breakfast with the kids. It’s Spring Break so we were just kind of lounging and relaxing. We heard Grace, one of our three year old twins in the bathroom, so Heidi went in to check on her. She had climbed up into the sink, with her feet in the basin. Heidi responded with wisdom and curiosity, rather than getting after her for being up there. She asked Grace, “Sweetie, what are you doing?”
“I’m washing my feet mommie. Jesus said be kind to one un udder and wash your feet,” was her reply. Don’t tell me toddlers aren’t listening when we teach them in church. Didn’t exactly get it all right, but she is on the right track. Now, if we could just get her to wash her twin sister Mary’s feet rather than throwing toys at her in the bath!
