The book Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan is one of the great, and most read books of all time. The novel is an allegory of the Christian life written by an English Christian while in prison for his beliefs. The story is of a man who journeys through life seeking to find his way from the “City of Destruction” (earth) to the “Celestial City” (heaven). In many cultures, Pilgrim’s Progress will be the second book translated by missionaries after the Bible.
